Shauna's Birthday Tea Party

Shauna's request for her birthday was to have a tea party. It was so fun to plan! We live in a small space and wanted it special, so we cleared off the front porch the best we could and put up curtains along one side to "hide" all the things we could not clear off. We had to set the stage by making sure we had plenty of candlelight...

These tealights were all along the railings of the porch

And of course, you HAVE to have a teapot. I didn't have one before this event. Wouldn't you know I waited until the last minute to try and find one? Well, surprisingly, I found one!!

Isn't it beautiful? it is smaller than I would have liked, but it did the trick. I will be on the look out for a bigger one. I am SURE the other girls will want one soon as well. ;D

Here is the table in all it's splendor! Shauna and all her guests are patiently awaiting to be served their tea.

...and in action. :D

This is the one treat she specifically asked for. I think they are called pirouettes.

Lastly, it was time to open her presents. She recieved lots of wonderful gifts, and was completely delighted, but here are just a few samples...

......and a doll Ashley "handed her down". We didn't get a new dress done in time, but she will be getting a lovely purple floral dress to match the hairbows.
